Rachel & Will booked me around 19-20 months in advance. At the time, it was a little unusual, but now, it's pretty much the normal for me! Big weddings should be planned out in advance. Not only does it help you space out all of those deposits and payments you'll be making, but it ensures that you get your first-choice vendors. Rachel and Will did this, and they got exactly what they wanted!
We shot their engagement session just over a year before their wedding, up in the snow in Lake Tahoe, so they were able to use the photos for these cute little magnets for their save the dates.... because.... they got married on Valentine's Day! (Talk about a busy day!)
