Highly Suggestive (This Blog Post has been Rated PG-13)

Here today, I bring you, my very first PG-13 rated blog post. What you will see in this blog post is the equivalent of what you would see on the beach in summer. If bikinis and winking is too much for you, please, TURN BACK NOW! If you think you can handle it, proceed with caution. This will be a brief post, because well, Toree is just too darn hot to handle, as her soon to be husband will find out just as soon as he receives these spicy little photos on his wedding night! Tee-hee! AND DON'T YOU DARE TELL HIM! :P It's a surprise!

(Boys don't read my blog. At least not that one.)

(Speaking of, this post is for Girls Only!)

How sexy can a fully clothed gal look?! :-O How awesome is Tor!!!

Photobucket

Okay, and this is the LAST ONE. It's REALLY HOT. ;) Are you sure you can handle it? Cover your puppy's and kitten's eyes! Beachwear people, BEACHWEAR! NO NUDITY! I promise! :) I try to be very, very careful on this blog because I know I have many readers who have careful standards in their life to uphold (Utah, I'm talking to you!). Below in this last picture there is NO NUDITY but the equivalent of bikini wear. So I leave it up to you. But I think she looks very cute! Now everyone give Toree a HUGE round of applause for being SO BRAVE and letting me post her pictures on the blog and letting me share them with everyone. That takes a lot of courage and a lot of confidence! But I would be pretty confident if I looked like that too! Go Toree! :)

Real Weddings Blog Feature! Erin & Matt

You can visit us and read more about our fabulouso couple Erin & Matt over on the Real Weddings Magazine Blog today!

Make sure you leave them lots of comments so they think I am uber cool and want more stuff from me! O:D (Because that's not conniving and manipulative AT ALL!)

I have been having a terrible week and not feeling very good at all (physically or emotionally, although you all know I am a highly skilled faker!) so this was nice to see in the inbox this morning. I'm very grateful for a weekend where life won't have to extend beyond the covers...

But on to happier things, right? :)

Tiburon Lodge Wedding (James & Tina's Wedding)

Part II from yesterday!

Tina's family is Persian, and James' family are predominately members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. What do you get when you stick these two in a blender and flip the switch?

Why, you end up on the cover of LATINO BRIDE AND GROOM of course! And you get images featured all over the inside of the magazine, including on those little mail in renewal cards (ooooh, I feel special), and in the section Wedding Album section in the back! We even had more images featured than Jose Villa- and he is WORLD FAMOUS! (Squeal like a pig with me now- SQUEEEE!)

LBGM embraces couples of all ethnicities and cultures and that is why they would be proud to feature any beautiful couple, especially a couple as striking as James & Tina on their cover. And I am so proud that I was the lucky one who was the photographer selected for the cover in this case! ;)
And back to James and Tina.... ahem....

J & T tied the knot at this great little restaurant overlooking San Francisco Bay in Tiburon and despite some SERIOUS chivari chair drama, they made it through their non-denominational civil ceremony and were able to celebrate with their guests- who hailed from all over the bay area, from Utah and Tina's adorable Dad had even come all the way from Iran! (I really, really want to go there some day. You know as an undergrad I wrote a 50 page research project on the evolution of American-Iranian relations prior to, during and after the revolution? I spent 6 months in the library basement at Sac State and UCD going through ancient magazine and newspaper articles that smelled like mold. It was great.)

After the ceremony we took some pictures down by the water and then much to James' utter horror (he was such a good sport for his new wife! Good job! :) ) we went for more pictures up the hill by a little white church Tina loved.

Enjoy!

Oh, yes, if you are looking at that thing on the right and wondering, "Is that a CAKE BALL???" You would be right!

I could SMELL the cake while I was photographing it. Always torturous.

PUBLISHED! Latino Bride and Groom Magazine Cover and MORE!

I am proud to present to you, officially, for the first time, my first magazine feature! My gorgeous client James and Tina were married in Tiburon in June and LICKITIY SPLIT they were on the cover of the Summer Issue of Latino Bride and Groom Magazine. Also featured in the Wedding Album section are my other clients, Josh & Amanda, who tied the knot two years ago this December and are currently stationed in Italy with the Air Force! I couldn't be prouder of this first big milestone, and I hope you all like it!

Being featured in and on LBG Magazine is an especially great honor because LBG is a bilingual magazine, and I believe the only Spanish-English bilingual bridal magazine currently available. Some of my images are featured next to the English versions of the articles, and some with the Spanish. I think that is pretty stinkin' COOL!

If you are friends or family of the couple (or just a big ol' fan of ME [head swells with vanity] ....Mom? lol) and want to make sure you get this specific issue and not the new fall issue which should be coming out right about now, the simplest way to get a copy is to just order from LBG, which you can do here: http://latinobrideandgroom.blogspot.com/2009/12/subscribe.html

Just do the one issue order and make sure that you write in or select that you want the Summer 2010 Issue! You can also subscribe to the magazine using that link as well.

My cover! SQUEE!

Photobucket

Flower arrangement from T & J's wedding there on the left! And they used that shot as a page divider for those little cardboard pull out cards for magazine subscriptions! How random and neato is that? SO VALIDATING! Can you tell it's my first time or what?
Photobucket

That's mine in the middle!

Photobucket

I've got FIVE pictures in the Album section! Squee! And my name is printed on every one!
Photobucket
Isn't it pretty! The magazine is even more gorgeous in person! Thank you to LBGM for sending me the PDF's so I could share the pages with you! :)

Watch out for Tina & James' big post later this week!

Crystal Springs Golf Course Wedgewood Wedding (Holly & Billy's Wedding Preview!)

There are two times when you may catch me sniveling at my client's weddings... sometimes during personal vows during the ceremony, and then during the dances, particularly the father daughter dances. It was all downhill from Alisa and David's wedding last year in Carmel last year. Alisa danced with her Daddy to Stevie Nick's Landslide... oh, I cried like a BIG FAT BABY and I ADMIT IT! Everybody in that room cried! And you know what, if you had been there, YOU WOULD HAVE TOO! And with those hostile, accusatory and finger pointing words, I give you Holly and her Dad's last dance:

Photobucket

My Great Auntie Violet would have been so proud to be a part of this wedding... it was a sophisticated purple explosion at Crystal Springs Golf Course, also known as Wedgewood, (which has been TOTALLY redone since the wedding I did there just last year!) for Billy & Holly's big wedding bash. For "champagne taste on a beer budget" you would have NEVER known! (Looks more like a Platinum wedding to me you fibbers!) Their wedding was beautiful, perfectly planned and really couldn't have been improved upon. They utilized and maximized their venue in the best way possible! Great planning guys! Even the natural landscape surrounding the ceremony site had wild purple flowers blooming at their feet! How do you get Mother Nature to coordinate with your wedding colors?! (Talk to Holly, she's got the magic touch, apparently!)

And Amelia (my kitty) really appreciates our favor from the wedding- a purple potted pansy- she's been eating it non-stop. It's apparently DELICIOUS! She LOVES flowers!

Here are our manly-men...

Photobucket

Pow-pow-POWER RANGERS!
Photobucket

How about THAT for a stunning backdrop?!

Photobucket

Hope that tides you guys over for awhile!

Happy Monday folks! I'll be out shooting on UC Davis' campus most of the day today with some clients who flew up from San Diego for engagement pictures! If you're hoping to hear from me like SNAP! over email today, well, I wouldn't hold your breath!!!! ;)

Strauss Island Elk Grove Wedding (David & Jess are Wedd)

Sunday marked 10/10/10 and my fourth year in a row I was so lucky to strike the magic triple digit wedding lottery! On 7/7/07 Krissy McNair and Andrew Brownell (the latter whom I coincidentally went to elementary school with in So Cal) got hitched in Dana Pointe and kicked off the trend. 8/8/08 is the anniversary of Elitha and Brandon who married in Roseville at the Victorian. And last year, Sara & Matt were my first ever (and only!) Wednesday wedding, on 9/9/09.

Today, errr... I say this way too much, but again, YESTERDAY as it is now 5:39am and I have yet to go to bed because I stayed up working all night editing, per usual, Jess and Dave were married on Strauss Island in Elk Grove Regional Park in Elk Grove, just south of Sacramento.

Strauss Island is best known for the Strauss Festival, named for Johann Strauss, Jr. the composer (Blue Danube anyone? Radetzky's March?) which takes place every July. There are approximately 30,000 people who come to the festival each year. They lay out picnic blankets under the stars, sip wine, eat fruit and cheese and watch dancers perform a story to a selection of the great composer's music. It is a lovely experience and topped off with fireworks at the end of the show every night. I highly recommend you STAY HOME and NEVER COME because it's already crowded enough as it is. (Hee hee). But here's the link anyway... http://www.straussfestival.com/

So, in my typical awesome verbose fashion, I have proven Dave and Jessica are totally cool based on their venue choice. Major sophistication.

AND they successfully avoided being maimed by the rouge ducks and psychotic geese (courtesy of some bird seed purchased in advanced to distract the little bastards) and even escaped the bird crap, although *I* was not so lucky. (Not the brightest bulb in the tanning bed over here.)

Eh.... this is why my cats love me. I bring home exciting poopy coated shoes for them to smell. (Anything to buy their love.)

Did I mention these were open toe?

PS: Is "ba****d" a swear?
PPS: Do I have to go to time out for that?
PPPS: If I do have to go to time out, can I take a nap?

ON WITH THE SHOW!

Walking over the bridge onto the island on Dad's arm, and David's first look at Jessica!

First kiss and first HURRAH at making it through the ceremony!
The officiant for Jessica and David's ceremony had Jess and Dave face the audience and she turned her back to us. Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't. This time it was pretty darn near perfect!

That is everybody who came to the wedding! And NO the newlyweds are NOT flipping off the camera! LOOK CAREFULLY! Those are their ring fingers! :)

PPPPS: It is now 6:53am and I finally finished writing, uploading, pasting, labeling, proofing and changing and scheduling this post. I'm pooped. Wow. I talked about poop twice in this post. Do you think that warrants a tag?

PPPPPS: Only ONE PERSON said anything about Toree & Andrew's GORGEOUS styled retro engagement session and I am assigning you the homework of going back here and looking at it and oohing and ahhing like good little blog readers! I made her ride a bike in heels in traffic on a weeknight for poop's sake! (Definitely tagging it now). Retro Flirt, Flair & FLAMINGOS (Toree & Andrew's E-Sneak)

Andrew thinks Toree is hot.
Toree thinks Andrew needs to be roughed up sometimes.
They like to chase each other around on bikes.
Sometimes they stand in driveways and flirt.
Toree and Andrew make out outside ice cream parlors.
Andrew admires Toree watering some random person's lawn and stickin' her bum WAAAAAAY out.
You could describe them as "swingers." (Get your mind out of the gutter people! Scroll down! ;) )
Sometimes they have to run away from home.
Eventually they get where they're going.

They are super cool.

I am adopting them.

They are getting married 30 days from today. Oh, and we didn't get arrested for trespassing, although the police and firetrucks came.
MAJOR PLUS!
(They weren't for us... PHEW!)

Sorry the pics are soft guys. I gotta stop resizing them in the post! They are so much prettier before I start trying to make them fit in the space. LOL
