These two married at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Mendocino with a reception following at the Hall on the same property. Brenda and the girls readied at the Hill House prior to the ceremony and the boys and I took pictures in the field behind the building.
This wedding was a tad different for me, as I for the second time in my entire career as a photographer had an assistaint with me! The only other time I have ever had a helper was at my very first wedding at Frasinetti's Winery in South Sacramento, when Michele & Nathaniel Northam, who just recently celebrated their anniversary, tied the knot! I was a tad concerned about the 4 hour trip each way to and from Mendocino and as I had a committment early Sunday, I thought it best to bring a friend to keep me awake since I couldn't stay over.
Many thanks to Cecilia Jimenez-Olshaskie for sticking it out, holding babies, snapping pictures, fixing make-up and hair, for whipping spare bobby-pins out of mid-air, acting as a liason for the bride and for keeping me awake and entertained on the scary ride home in the woods!
THANK YOU CECILIA!
One more interesting tid-bit to note, when I shot Brenda & Dan's engagement session on Tamalpais, I was attacked by ferocious ants, who not only covered my legs when we started shooting, but stowed away in my car and I ended up bringing some home with me. During the reception, Brenda set her napkin on fire curtosey of a votive candle on their sweetheart table, which I instictivly slapped to put it out, and got firey goo stuck on my hands! Why do I give myself all these owchies whenever I am around Brenda & Dan?! LOL
On with the wedding! I am posting way too many!! You better enjoy them! :)
