Mark & Channelle are so incredibly awesome! They married in Grass Valley at the historic Holbrooke Hotel. I totally reccomend this venue. The room was gorgeous- and it wasn't even the nicest room in the hotel (So said the front desk receptionist, she went on and on about how cool the bathroom is in the OTHER suite, I was practically drooling at the thought of stuffing one of my brides in there! LOL (What is WRONG with me??! ) and the flip on the ceremony room ( into the reception room) was amazing. Soft candelight, pumpkins, organic peanut butter and honey favors.... Say it with me, "Ahhhhhhhh."
Beyond all of that amazingness, Mark, Channelle and I had a FULL HOUR to take pictures of them alone! Do you believe it?! It was amazing! We trolloped all around old Town, including a pit stop to a beautiful victorian which Mark's dad bought in the 70's for a crazy small amount- and where Mark & Channelle hope to live someday!
Unfortunatley, Mark's dad is having some heart troubles, and is confined to home for the time being. but never-fear! The entire family made the short trek out to the Brocke's home so family portraits could be taken with sweet Mr. Brocke, who I have to say, is one of the handsomest older gentlemen i have ever seen!
And never fear, the dirt on the wedding cake is actually crumbled oreos- clever, eh? :) I LOVE the quotes on the sides as well, very romantic. Kudos!
On with the show!
