Josh & Amanda are MARRIED! (It ended with a CHAIR.)

Josh and Amanda were my VERY LAST WEDDING OF 2008! HORRAY! When Amanda said I could leave towards the end of the reception, first I said, "Really? Are you sure?" and when she said, "Yes." I shrieked and squealed like a greased pig. And YES, I hugged the poor woman like it was goin' out of style! WOOHOO! LOL
You can view Josh & Amanda's rockin' e-session at Empire Mine HERE.

So anyway, my full 2 Saturdays I think I have had off here, and I am clocking back in on Friday/Saturday for Mackenzie's (and possibly Vanessa, still working on that one!) wedding(s)! Sheesh that "vacation" went by in a whirlwind, and with all of the drama over here (mom's house burning down, dad in hospital, holidays, etc) it didn't seem particularly restful either!

Anyway, back to Josh & Amanda... I LOVE YOU! Amanda and the girls ended up being something like 2 hours (?) late to the getting ready site (Girls, I've said it before and I'll say it again, PLAN your time carefully and PLAN on being late!) but we pounded through it and we had those girls dressed and ready to roll within 20 minutes! SCORE! (Good Job girls!)

Amanda & Josh opted for a "First Look" which is just what they needed to calm each other's nerves and really get ready for the ceremony. Because they opted for a First Look, we were able to put some special time aside before the ceremony to traipse around some beautiful abandoned buildings, and hit the park for posed portraits, just the three of us. Totally worth it. After having so many positive First Look experiences, I am really starting to think it is preferable to waiting to see each until you're walking down the aisle. Every client I have had that has done this has been able to spend special, quiet, private moments alone with their (almost) spouse, which is really meaningful. They are able to really drink that moment in, rather than just rush through it, being overwhelemed with all of the sights, sounds and crowds of people that envelope you as you begin that trek up the aisle. Consider it!

It also presents an additional photo op, as you'll see! ;)

Another thing to note; the premiere of my ORANGE CHAIR. It may not have started with a chair... but it did end with one. ;)

LOVE this one, this was ALL Amanda's idea. Also, this garter is very special; it was made by a woman who makes free garters for military brides! Thank you to Josh for serving our country!
