Sarah is the cousin of one of my Utah clients and when I was there last fall, we did a great quick portrait session in the orchard. We didn't even attempt to do any with Sarah's awesome big brother Jonathon, but he was there too, and he is a very handsome boy! I will try to catch him next time. :)
Also featured here are the twins Luke & Lacey who celebrated their FOURTH birthday and are sporting these AWESOME shirts made by their Mommy, who sells them in her Etsy Shop, Posies and Polka Dots. Her stuff is freaking AWESOME and I love it! It is so hard not to buy everything in the store, but I don't have kids so it doesn't really make alot of sense! Although, I did justify buying a nursing cover for my clients Jon & Christy who had baby Emily (sooooo named after me [not really, but I gotta keep bringing it up to maintain my "freak" image with the public]) because they really needed it. Uh huh. It was white with pink polka dots and was silky soft and I about died when I saw it. So I found a home for it, because I am nice like that.
A. N .Y. W .A. Y .... Posies & Polka Dots sells things like custom nursing covers/hooter hiders, custom car seat covers, car seat canopies, diaper bags, baby slings, baby blankets, burp cloths, appliqued & embroidered onesies and t-shirts, hair clips, ,shirts, skirts galore. Kristin (the Mom and CEO) also makes little baby slings for your child to carry their dollies around, as well as diapers, diaper purses and changing kits, regular purses... basically anything baby related you could dream up, she makes it. She also does a TON of custom orders. If any of this sounds like a barrel of fun (which it soooooo is!) check out her Etsy Shop:

and maybe buy something! Because TODAY is Kristin's Birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRISTIN!

Did you notice the "FOUR" on her shirt has a PRINCESS CROWN on the "o"?? How CUTE is that?
Anyway, she made the shirts the twins are wearing in honor of their big 4th birthday and lastly here we have baby Joseph, playing his part in the apple orchard as Moses in the reeds.... except he is more like Moses in the apple orchard. You get me, right?
This was over by the handy dandy Provo Insane Asylum or something... I forget. All I know is that when we got out of the van, we noticed Bambi hanging out at the end of the orchard, and then after about 5 steps realized Bambi had brought along about 40 of his closest deer friends and we all about peed our pants trying to get back into the car with the kids before we got bucked to death.
Emily (C'est moi?) got voted out of the van to go shoo shoo the deer to a safe distance away. Which I did, so HA! Take THAT Bambi!

Say Hi to Bambi, Feline and the rest of the crew:
We never got a totally accurate head count, but they were EVERYWHERE.... like RATS. (But cuter. Look at those baby ears!) They apparently hang out with Snow White and are fond of apples I guess. Or maybe they escaped from the asylum? Either way, I'd say it was a herd of around 20+ with babies hidden EVERYWHERE in the grass- like Easter eggs!- which is why I was very, very careful to keep the kids away and everyone quiet so we didn't disturb them. They were super close, but not so close that the babies moved or the mamas and papas spooked. They just watched us make the kids cry (I mean, take their picture..) and ate their apples.
And that was it. And that was the end of the day and that was all we did and then we went home. And had donuts. We didn't do anything else. I SWEAR....
Ok, OK!... there was ONE more thing from this shoot. (Force it out of me why don'tch'ya!)
It concerns the baby. Yes, sweet baby Moses in the apple orchard- I mean Joseph... in a Ikea curtain... Anyway, in addition to abandoning him on the ground amidst a herd of vicious deer, we also may have unsuccessfully tried to tied him to a tree. Maybe. But I forget.

You really need to stop with the babies....you make me want one just so you can take pictures =] Can we hang Madison from the tree in a sheet like that, or is she too big?
