Tiburon Lodge Wedding (James & Tina's Wedding)

Part II from yesterday!

Tina's family is Persian, and James' family are predominately members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. What do you get when you stick these two in a blender and flip the switch?

Why, you end up on the cover of LATINO BRIDE AND GROOM of course! And you get images featured all over the inside of the magazine, including on those little mail in renewal cards (ooooh, I feel special), and in the section Wedding Album section in the back! We even had more images featured than Jose Villa- and he is WORLD FAMOUS! (Squeal like a pig with me now- SQUEEEE!)

LBGM embraces couples of all ethnicities and cultures and that is why they would be proud to feature any beautiful couple, especially a couple as striking as James & Tina on their cover. And I am so proud that I was the lucky one who was the photographer selected for the cover in this case! ;)
And back to James and Tina.... ahem....

J & T tied the knot at this great little restaurant overlooking San Francisco Bay in Tiburon and despite some SERIOUS chivari chair drama, they made it through their non-denominational civil ceremony and were able to celebrate with their guests- who hailed from all over the bay area, from Utah and Tina's adorable Dad had even come all the way from Iran! (I really, really want to go there some day. You know as an undergrad I wrote a 50 page research project on the evolution of American-Iranian relations prior to, during and after the revolution? I spent 6 months in the library basement at Sac State and UCD going through ancient magazine and newspaper articles that smelled like mold. It was great.)

After the ceremony we took some pictures down by the water and then much to James' utter horror (he was such a good sport for his new wife! Good job! :) ) we went for more pictures up the hill by a little white church Tina loved.

Enjoy!

Oh, yes, if you are looking at that thing on the right and wondering, "Is that a CAKE BALL???" You would be right!

I could SMELL the cake while I was photographing it. Always torturous.
